Story-telling has been an important part of the culture of the East. In this book, Mariam Behnam relates stories that originate in her homeland: the southern coastal belt of Iran, Bahrain, and Dubai. They told of empires and sufis, of a time when life was full of awe and imagination, for adults as well as for children.
