From Library Journal:
The recent silencing of Fr. Curran by the Vatican has been widely publicized. Collected here are ten essays that Curran has written over the past two years and published in various sources. In them he describes the action taken against him and defends his position of public dissent from noninfallible Church teaching as falling within Roman Catholic norms. He further asks how freedom of conscience can be denied in private sexual ethics but permitted in the social realms of economics of war and peace, evaluating the methodologies that lead to such conclusions. The title should specify that this is Roman Catholic scholarship, even though there will be a wider audience. Curran writes clearly in a manner accessible to interested lay readers. Recommended.
