Dr. Julianne Malveaux, a Democrat and an acclaimed economist, is a syndicated columnist whose commentary on economics and politics has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Detroit Free Press, and other publications. She is a contributing writer to Essence Magazine and also writes regularly for USA Today and Black Issues in Higher Education. She is a television and radio commentator who appears regularly on CNN, PBS, MSNBC, and Fox News. Malveaux lives in Washington, D.C.
Deborah Perry, a Republican, is a political commentator who appears on MSNBC and FOX NEWS. She is a former congressional staffer in the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives, Bush administration official, and congressional lobbyist who has worked for change in the areas of foreign policy, education reform, and national and community service. As a freelance writer, she has written for such publications as Ladies Home Journal, the Miami Herald and National Geographic Traveler. She lives in Arlington, Virginia.
