Residuary Legatee is the title given by Jean Glover to her role as Headmaster's wife at two well known Midland public schools. The title encompasses the multitude of jobs she was expected to take on, which included help with the annual school play, large scale housekeeping and the entertaining of important guests, together with more unusual tasks such as cooking dinner for the entire school when neither the cook nor the catering assistants turned up for work.
