About the Author:
Kate Murray is an avid runner and has a passion for educating people about how overall wellness is deeply rooted in proper nutrition. She was practically raised in her mother’s kitchen, but it wasn’t until she became a mother herself that she realized Americans have such widely varied understandings about what healthy eating really means. In 2001, she began to focus her attention on nutrition, later focusing very specifically on plant-based nutrition. As a mother, Kate understands the challenges parents face in trying to teach their children to eat more vegetables: “It’s not easy when everyone else is serving yogurt and cheese because they think it’s the right thing to do” Kate says, “in this book you’ll discover why animal protein, especially cows milk, is ultimately causing significantly more harm than good...not only in your child’s development, but also in your own. You’ll also discover the dramatic distinction between eating clean and eating vegan.” Kate received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication in 1996 and her Master’s of Business Administration in 2003. She also completed a post-graduate certificate in plant-based nutrition. Kate is the creator of Vogue Media, a boutique design firm located in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She is available on a limited basis for lectures, keynote presentations, and workshops about plant-based nutrition. Laugh, cry, and be truly inspired by how this book will shatter the foundation of everything you once believed to be true about proper nutrition.
Review:
I read at first with a bit of skepticism. As a practicing healthcare attorney for 27 years and counsel to various medical societies, I have worked with thought leaders in the field of medicine. But after reading her book, I must say Kate Murray has opened my eyes and hit upon a proactive, common sense nutritional approach to many issues that plague our country. Read her book and have your eyes opened. It reads like a compelling detective novel only the culprits are the foods we ingest and of course the corporate machine. -- Scott Einiger, Esq., New York, NY
An inspiring, incredibly well-researched journey to a healthy lifestyle. Kate offer's a solution to America's childhood obesity epidemic, and her Silent Cure teaches us that it is never too early or too late to begin a healthy nutrition/exercise program. -- Dan Batz, Pasadena Elite Fitness, Pasadena, CA
Valuable information that any person can use to improve their health...I couldn't put it down. -- Michael P. Butterworth, MP Butterworth & Associates, Reading, PA
