From Library Journal:
Schwartz, who runs workshops on "how to handle men in relationships," has appeared on Ricki Lake, Leeza, and even Oprah. Her media experience is clear from her book, which is filled with sound bites. This isn't a so bad, for it results in writing that is no-nonsense and easy to read. Her advice, offered in a "been-there-done-that" tone, is understandable and free of psycho-jargon. Schwartz's main point is that men treat women like jerks mainly because women let them. While it may look like she's blaming the victim, Schwartz gets away with it by using her own life as an example. She candidly admits that her own behavior has encouraged "jerkiness" in men and explains how she eventually stopped letting them walk all over her. She gives solid advice on how other women can achieve the same end. Recommended for all public libraries.APamela A. Matthews, Gettysburg Coll. Lib., PA
