The main part of the book describes four walks, each of which can be completed in one day, although there are points in each at which one can break off and return another day. The illustrations show the visitor, as he confronts a view, what his predecessors of a hundred, two hundred, or five hundred years ago saw from the very same point.”
About the Author:
J. G. Links (1904-1997) was an acclaimed author of travel and art books. His other works include The Book of Fur, Venice, and Views of Venice by Canaletto.
