About the Author:
Christine Carol Nowell was born into a Royal Air Force family and travelled the world with her mother and father. While stationed in Singapore, she met John while convalescing after a minor operation at Changi Hospital. After returning to England Christine joined British European Airways and flew on Vanguards, Viscounts, Tridents and Comet 4s before marrying John and travelling the world again. Besides having a home in England, the family lived in California, Florida and the Middle East including Oman, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. She gained a diploma in English from London University and, in 2001, published her first book, 'Now & Then - Abu Dhabi', now in its second print run. 'Now & Then - Rutland' is her second book. Christine & John have six children and three grandsons.
