Woodcut engraved frontispiece, depicting the symbol of the National Guard's Seventh Regiment. Title page in red and black lettering, with ornamental National Guard's symbol. Ornamental printers' devices to header of each chapter. Fascinating account of the history of this regiment, representing a significant contribution to 19th century US military history. The militia was housed at what is now the New York Armory, located at Park Ave and 67th Street, on the Upper East Side of Manhattan . It hosts various exhibitions, among others, the New York Armory Antique Show (in the winter) and the ABAA antiquarian book fair. In English. In overall good+ condition.
